The Lousy N80.

If you have been in my life or following my twits recently, you'd know of my constant struggles with my dying N80. The phone itself is still operational, but the screen tends to die off suddenly.

Recently, it have gotten to a point where I can't get more than a few minutes of use everyday, and I decided that the madness must stop. So out came my trusty old Nokia 6210, and with that, I limped along for a while. I didn't want to jump at a new phone as alot of my services billing dates are around the corner. It'd wouldn't be funny if this site went down just because I neglected to pay my bills(note to stakeholders: the bills has been settled... lets enjoy the ride for the next 2 years. ;P)

Well, things tend not to go the way you want it to be. I've gotten selected for Toshiba 3rd round interview in Japan(YAYYYY!!!!! my dream come true. =)). At the briefing for the candidates, the kind HR ladies let us know that in order to roam in Japan, one would need a 3G handset.

Which, means I'll be totally uncontactable if I don't get a replacement fast.

I bit the bullet, and went down to Starhub to check out the stuff that they have. I was thinking to m yself... What exactly do I lack in my gadget lineup? That's when my eyes wandered over the entry for the Nokia 6110 Navigator. By Jove, of course! A GPS unit! ;P Predictably, my wallet wasn't exactly pleased with my decision.

Even Nokia focuses on the "out of box" experience now.

Chouyusha Haruhi, reporting.

It took quite a while, but finally I managed to create a workable pose for the figurine. When I was ordering the game I was like, "Posing? Should be cakewalk.".

But the truth is, it's really not easy at all. More often than not I find myself acting out the pose I wanted the figurine to be in, and visually take note of where all the joints would be, the orientation of the joints, etc etc. To compound matters, what is useable for a human may not be true for figurines, as they have limited degrees of freedom. It all adds up.

Kyon! Eat this, or else...

It just so happen that after I've posed Chouyusha Haruhi, I found this ceramic artisian, who has this set of really small ceramic cakes. When I saw the cakes, I couldn't resist it. Bought the cakes and posed Haruhi with it.

It's titled, "Eat this Kyon... Or else!" =)

gath!!! was surfing around the other day when i went back to animepaper.net to have a look see... and i was fiddling around with the urls when i encounter the error pages.

they are beautiful. arghhhh. =\ 

I get kinda nostalgic for Fruits Basket now and then... And I dragged out the tired song today.... and looped it for the better part of the day, much to the disgust of my neighbours ;P -throws up his hands- Anyway, enjoy, and do remember to read the story! =)

one day, ze Pessimist, ze Optimist , and ze Pragmatist was walking along enjoying each other's company when they encountered some small obstacles along the road.

ze Pessimist picked his way carefully through the obstacles, shaking his head and sighing all the way.

ze Optimist applied a generous amount of lubricant on the obstacles and hoped for the best.

ze Pragmatist took a good look at the problem, got a good steam roller, and simply squashed everything out of the way.
